Ingredients:
For the batter:
2 cups broccoli florets (cut into medium-sized pieces)
½ cup all-purpose flour (maida)
2 tbsp cornflour
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
½ tsp black pepper powder
Salt to taste
Water (to make the batter)
Oil (for deep frying or shallow frying)
For the Manchurian sauce:
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
2 green chilies (sliced or chopped)
1 medium onion (finely chopped or diced)
1 small capsicum (finely chopped or diced)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp chili sauce
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp cornflour mixed in 3 tbsp water (slurry)
Salt to taste
Spring onions (for garnish)
Instructions:
Step 1: Preparing the broccoli
Blanch the broccoli florets in boiling water for 1-2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Step 2: Making the batter
In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornflour, ginger-garlic paste, black pepper powder, and salt.
Add water gradually to make a smooth batter. The batter should coat the broccoli evenly but not be too thick.
Step 3: Frying the broccoli
Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
Dip each broccoli floret into the batter and fry until golden and crisp. Drain on paper towels. (You can also air-fry or bake for a healthier option.)
Step 4: Preparing the sauce
